About me

I hold a top secret security clearance for my job. In my regular, fulltime jobs as a federal contractor, I worked as a software help desk analyst and shortly thereafter, became the lead technical writer for a Department of State (DoS) contractor.
Today, I am a Knowledge Management Analyst for a Department of Defense (DoD) contractor. I not only create technical documentation in print and online, I am a SharePoint administrator managing the Knowledge Base and SharePoint site managers. However, the majority of the time, at least lately, is creating Nintex forms and developing the associated Nintex workflows.
I have over fifteen years’ experience in information technology, graphics design, business development, technical writing, marketing, and training and program development.
Prior to becoming a federal contactor, I worked in the healthcare industry for human resources as a training program developer and facilitator. I have created and written training program manuals, job descriptions, and policies and procedures.
As technology changed, documentation and training went "online". I designed and developed the CSS and HTML pages for information that was previously in print.
As a federal contractor working in the DoS and DoD locations, I became proficient in Section 508 compliance mandated in January 2018. As part of my job, I ensured web pages and electronic documentation I created complied with the electronic information technology (EIT) portion of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1974, and the Web Content Access Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
